Data in operations and maintenance, systems design and monitoring

What are some of the opportunities that a Greenfield project presents for systems design, operations and maintenance? What is Fibre Optic Movement Sensing and how does it work? These questions will be answered at the next RailTech.com webinar on 5 October by the following guests:

Andy Billington, Innovation and Digital Architecture Team Leader at Rail Baltica AS, will talk about the opportunities a Greenfield project presents in terms of systems design, operations and maintenance, and applying digital tools to optimise designs and processes.

Ed Austin, Managing Director at UK firm Focus Sensors, meanwhile, will highlight Fibre Optic Movement Sensing (FOMS). This new system monitors railway condition using spare trackside optical fibres to make measurements.

Richard Lenthall, Vice President – Customer Management at voestalpine Signaling Siershahn GmbH will talk about the ability of voestalpine's Modular Diagnostic System (MDS) functions to provide the customer with a holistic and complete picture of their trainset status, with a particularly focusing on their newest function VTA (Visual Train Analysis), and AMS (Acoustic Monitoring Sensor). All of it is supported by their Central Management Software (CMS), which allows voestalpine to offer customers a complete in-house solution for their monitoring needs.

As always, there will be time for Q&A with the audience!
